I was introduced to the Shih Tzu breed in 1998 when one of my nursing students put a picture of her Shih Tzu in her assignment. I fell in love with this beautiful dog with big eyes and long flowing coat. I then bought my first Shih Tzu Cocoa and proceeded to show her to her championship. Cocoa was my foundation dog and unfortunately at 15 years of age in March 2012 she passed on. She will be forever in my heart.

Sandraker Shih Tzu was established and registered with the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC) in 2000. Since then with very limited breeding (2 to 3 carefully planned liters per year) I have produced well over 35 champions and many loving companion pets. I strive to produce exceptional puppies that have excellent structure and movement, and have luxurious coats with beautiful sweet expressions. All puppies are well socialized, are playful and have affectionate loving temperaments. My dogs are family pets first and show dogs second.
